Supervision

Welcome to my supervision page!
I am delighted to provide supervision services to fellow counsellors, supporting your professional growth and development. With my ten years of experience teaching and training counsellors on a BA Hons Counselling Course, as well as nearly two decades of working directly with clients, I offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise to enhance your supervision experience. I provide supervision to counsellors, supporting your professional growth and development. With my training and expertise in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, developed by Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot, I offer a unique approach that combines online accessibility and the benefits of engaging in walk-talk supervision.

What is the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision?
The Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision is a comprehensive framework that enables supervisors and supervisees to explore various dimensions of the therapeutic process. This holistic approach goes beyond focusing solely on the client and encourages a multi-perspective exploration. By examining the client, therapist, therapeutic relationship, supervisor, wider context, interventions, and transference/countertransference dynamics, we gain a deeper understanding of the complexities within therapeutic work.

Why Choose Me as Your Supervisor?

  1. Expertise in the Seven-Eyed Model: I have received specialised training in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision from Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot. The training equipped me with the knowledge and skills to guide you through its application. I am well-versed in the nuances of each "eye" and can help you navigate the complexities of the therapeutic process.
  2. Online Supervision: I offer online supervision, providing flexibility and accessibility for counsellors regardless of their location. Through secure video conferencing platforms, we can engage in supervision sessions from the comfort of your own space, eliminating geographical barriers.
  3. Walk-Talk Supervision: I believe in the importance of integrating movement and nature into our professional lives. With walk-talk supervision, we can take our sessions outdoors, allowing for a change of environment and the benefits of physical activity. Walking side by side, we can engage in supervision while connecting with nature, fostering a sense of well-being and inspiration.
  4. Supportive and Collaborative Approach: I create a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth. As your supervisor, I work collaboratively with you, respecting your unique perspective and experiences. I aim to foster a trusting relationship that encourages open and honest dialogue.
  5. Reflective and Developmental Focus: My supervision style emphasises reflection and self-awareness. Together, we will explore your strengths, challenges, and areas for growth. I provide constructive feedback, guidance, and resources to support your ongoing professional development.
  6. Inclusive and Culturally Sensitive Practice: I am committed to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity in my supervision practice. I recognize the importance of addressing diversity, power dynamics, and social justice issues within the therapeutic context. I will support you in developing culturally responsive and ethically sound practices.
